It was about 15 years ago when I was introduced to Deepak Chopra’s 21 day guided mediations. I was at a pivotal point in my life and having access to his meditation was very meaningful. I fully embraced it and although I never meditated before and wasn’t even sure if I was doing it correctly, I was gifted, embracing meditation.

As I always say in my posts, what you need in life will come to you because what you need is always within you, however, it only appears to you when you are ready to receive. Isn’t that the messaging in The Wizard of Oz? Brought to us decades ago, here we are now, repeating the same message that applies to everyone around the world.

The curiosity about spirituality has always been with me, even as a child, but I never challenged myself to search beyond what was most familiar to me, Catholicism. I remained true to my faith and although years passed, my wanting to know more eventually evolved into its own journey. It is when we are wanting to know more, a growth in wisdom enlighten our lives, we ask who we are, why we are here and simply want to know our true self. It was just after the pandemic hit, I sat, like many others wondering many things. The questions I had always asked were rising deep within me. As our country moved into what felt like an endless lockdown, my own awareness stirred when the Chopra Center’s Meditation program presented itself before me.

Almost a year later, I am excited to share with you the journey I have taken. Studying Vedanta, ancient philosophies, Adviata, Ayurveda, The Bhagavad Gita and The Upandish philosophical teachings, I have been moved both internally and externally, mindfully and spiritually. My ability to teach mediation, pranayama and the practice of yoga wisdom is a gift I am honored to share. It is though teaching that we are able to transform and change and it is my devotion and commitment to be and share those practices with you. One of my favorite quotes, by Yogi Amrit Desai, “when you change yourself internally, you change the world” is upon us and each of us has the ability to reach out and touch the meaning of this when we are ready.

As we move through the stages of each lifetime, it is our duty to not only seek but represent our purpose and share our lessons with the world. It is my greatest honor to be able to share what I’ve learned though the Chopra Center. Every moment of our lives are meaningful, every individual we meet, the work we do, each heart-felt we shed, each tear we cry, every passion we share and it is through the process of meditation that we lift one another and awaken our own Shatki. Our being, our grace and breathe.
